The 2025 Norfolk Superhero challenge is supporting Norfolk Community Foundation's A Better Childhood Mission to get children active in Norfolk!

Story

It’s the taking part that counts, not the time it takes. I think for this father-son team, that will be our focus.

George, a newcomer to this event, has been training hard in Southeast Asia with friends—and with the help of Tiger Beer! As for me, it’s my second time on the track, and at an age better suited to whisky than wine, I’ve once again been tackling the chickens and salads. Last year, my partner—a seasoned professional with all the ability—led me around like a sacred cow to the banquet. I arrived at the finish line well-nourished and glistening.

The Passables will, without doubt, be a little less glistening this time, but we’ll provide support and confidence to all those who overtake us.

Why have we signed up? A question I ask myself quite frequently. A challenge and a good cause—both rewarding. This wonderful event is supporting the Norfolk Community Foundation’s A Better Childhood mission to get Norfolk’s children active. So please, give generously for them.

How will your support help?

The Norfolk Superhero Fund will, for example, enable us to subsidise or even fully fund club memberships and kit, which would have otherwise been unaffordable, as well as fund much needed coaching and equipment. Did you know that a third of children in the UK can’t swim and the number is growing. This is just one example of how we plan to help.

So please do give for this wonderful charity and enjoying watching the Passable’s not pass out!
