Story
In August 2023 I lost my dear brother Charlie to a horribly aggressive and rare cancer called Sarcoma. Charlie loved running and twisted my arm to run my first Marathon just a few days before I unexpectedly became Chancellor.
I have now run three London marathons and genuinely thought that would be it! However I have decided to run again this year to support the incredible efforts of my sister Susie who is aiming to raise £1 million for Sarcoma UK, a brilliant small charity funding vital research to help other families affected by sarcoma cancer.
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
£25 Could fund a Research Associate to work on a Sarcoma UK research project for one hour.
£334 Could fund Sarcoma UK's Support Line for a day.
£9,000 Could purchase a fume cupboard for a laboratory to allow researchers to safely use chemicals.
Thank you for supporting me – and wish me luck on the day!
