In June I will be competing in the Ellesmere Ironman distance triathlon as a fundraiser for The Hope Hub Camberley. The race will cover the following distances and take approximately 12 hours:

Swim (3.9 km)

Cycle (180.2 km)

Run (42.2 km)

The Hope Hub

The Hope Hub works tirelessly to support the homeless and those affected by homelessness and poverty.

At The Hope Hub, Service Users access a comprehensive Service Pathway from Crisis through to Empowerment at our Day Service. The Hope Hub meets their immediate needs for meals, food parcels, laundry and shower facilities supported by Volunteers and well-trained Empowerment Case Workers who, in parallel, provide 1:1 support and begin to address accommodation needs, supporting each person to secure housing benefit, Universal Credit and access to health services as needed. They instil confidence, self-belief and empower people through workshops and 1-1 sessions which gave them the skills to look for employment opportunities and move forward on their life journey.

They need funds to keep supporting those on the edge of society so they can live in a safe secure home and when they are ready, teach them the skills to help them to become employed, healthy, and supported in the future.

A local charity very close to my heart who I've volunteered with at their crisis centre and worked in their overnight accommodation. They do fantastic work for all those affected by homelessness and poverty.
