Story
The 6th June marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings, when allied personnel landed in Normandy. On that day 1475 people under British Command lost their lives on our behalf, so I would like to pay tribute to their memories by taking part in the 80k challenge. 80k represents the the length of the 5 Normandy beaches where the Allies landed, hence the distance being the focus of the challenge.
I appreciate that money is very tight for everyone at the moment, but as they say ‘every little helps’, and by supporting me you’ll be helping a great charity support todays veterans and their families.
Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) is a national charity. Since 1919 they have provided crucial accommodation, welfare and employment support to injured veterans and people with disabilities. They improve lives every day by inspiring those they help and supporting them to find work and lead independent lives. Right now, for every person they can help, there’s one they can’t.
Please help me support this amazing charity by donating to my fundraising page.
Thank you in advance for your encouragement and support, I am very grateful and I know those you are supporting by donating are extremely thankful.
Best wishes,
