I am running/jogging/hobbling a half marathon in Fairfield, Connecticut on Sunday June 2nd and thought I would try and raise some money along the way for “The Friends of the RUH”, a volunteer organization linked to the Royal United Hospital in Bath, England.

The Royal United Hospital generally not only plays a critical role in the local community, but it has also been an increasingly valuable resource for my family in recent years. My father, Brian, passed away peacefully while staying in the hospital in June last year and he/we had been increasingly frequent visitors in the years prior as his health deteriorated. We also benefitted from a variety of hospital services at my parents’ house during times when it was not possible for my father to attend the hospital in person.
