Story

On Sunday 26th April, I’ll be running the London Marathon alongside my daughter Tabitha, and this race means more to us than just the 26.2 miles.

Tabitha has grown up watching me train for and run marathons, and for as long as I can remember she has said that when she turned 18, she would love to run the London Marathon with me. On 7th January, Tabitha turns 18 — and we are incredibly proud and excited that we have both secured places to run together.

We are running to raise money for Spinal Research, a charity that is extremely close to our hearts. Horses and riding have always been a huge part of our lives, and anyone involved with equestrian sport understands just how devastating spinal injuries can be. The work Spinal Research does — funding vital research to restore movement and improve lives — is truly life-changing, and something we are passionate about supporting.

Running the London Marathon together is a huge personal challenge for us both, but doing it in support of such an important cause makes it even more special. We would be incredibly grateful for any support you can give, whether through a donation or by cheering us on along the route on the day.

Thank you so much for supporting us, supporting Spinal Research, and being part of this unforgettable journey.

With your help, we can #CureParalysis.
