Jeremy's fundraiser for Teenage Cancer Trust

Jeremy Wyre is raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust

Team: Team Fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you already know, my son Charlie, who is 20 years old, has been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He is currently undergoing treatment at Leicester Royal Infirmary, where he is receiving excellent care. We are incredibly grateful for the support he’s received so far, not just from the medical staff but also from the Teenage Cancer Trust, who do so much for young people like Charlie.

Charlie is about to begin his second round of chemotherapy, and with it will come the difficult milestone of losing his hair. In a show of solidarity, his brother Jack and I have decided to shave our heads alongside him. We want him to know he’s not facing this alone—and we hope that by doing this, we can also raise awareness of cancer in young people and the vital role that organisations like the Teenage Cancer Trust play in their journeys.

Charlie has also told me that, once he has beaten this cancer, he hopes to run the London Marathon next year. This again will be a charity run designed to raises money and awareness for the Teenage Cancer Trust

To support these efforts, I’ve set up a JustGiving page. All donations will go directly to the Teenage Cancer Trust so they can continue to offer specialist care, emotional support, and comfort to families just like ours.

If you’re in a position to contribute—even just a small amount—it would mean the world to us and to many other families facing the same challenge. Every pound makes a difference.

Thank you for your support, kindness, and encouragement during this time.

With heartfelt thanks,

Jeremy
