Story
In today's society, mental health is an equally important component of overall health.
Do you know that:
Over 700,000 people take their own life each year – that’s one person every 40 seconds (World Health Organization).
So this year, we (Jeric and Alison) will be challenging ourselves on 20-21 September 2024 by participating in a night time 7-8 hour hike climbing Mount Snowdon for the great Papyrus charity and to raise £600 for an important cause.
PAPYRUS exists to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives, by shattering the stigma surrounding suicide and equipping young people and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to emotional distress.
We believe that no young person should have to struggle alone with thoughts of suicide. Your support will help PAPYRUS continue its vital work in preventing young suicide. Together, we can make a difference.
