Battle Cancer London 2026

Jerome Balakistan-Barlow is raising money for The Battle Cancer Program

Battle Cancer London · 17 October 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Battle Cancer London is the flagship event of the global Battle Cancer series, uniting communities through high-intensity team fitness challenges that support cancer charities.

Story

Every day, I feel grateful to be able to move my body and to keep discovering what I am capable of. Since joining Gainline Ascot a year ago, I have pushed myself in ways I never thought possible, and I have truly caught the bug for competition. When friends recommended Battle Cancer London as the perfect first event, it felt like the ideal challenge: a chance to step up alongside good friends, take part in a sporting event that means something special, and raise money for an important cause.

Cancer has affected so many lives, and I want to do my part to support people as they rebuild after treatment. Cancer treatment can save a life, but finishing treatment does not always mean life goes straight back to normal. For many, what comes next can bring new challenges, including fatigue, loss of strength, changes in confidence, and a body that feels different from before. That is why the Battle Cancer Program matters so deeply.

The Battle Cancer Program is a fully funded, 12-week strength and fitness rehabilitation programme for people following cancer treatment. Across two coached sessions each week, participants are supported to move, lift, and gradually rebuild their strength and fitness in a safe, welcoming environment. They train alongside others who understand something of what they have been through, supported by coaches specially trained to deliver the programme.

This is why I am raising funds for Battle Cancer London 2026, taking place on 17 October 2026, with a goal of £200. Your support can help give people strength after cancer and remind them that recovery is not a journey they have to face alone.

Please donate if you can, share this page, and help us give more people the support they need to feel stronger, rebuild confidence, and move forward with hope.
