Story
My wife, Maureen, died 10 years ago this year. She was a wonderful friend, great mum & much-loved Headteacher in Macclesfield, Congleton and In Birkenhead. I thought I should do something memorable in her honour, and what better way than this in aid of East Cheshire Hospice where she spent her last days. I'm paying my costs so every donation will go to the Hospice.
The Hospice motto is “Where people come to live” and it certainly lives up to this: it has one of the most positive atmospheres of anywhere I’ve been! I am convinced that those who work in a Hospice, in any capacity, but particularly the medical staff and those who come into direct contact with patients and families are from a different branch of human evolution.
It costs over £9,000 per day to keep the Hospice running, and with just 21% funding from the Government, this makes fundraising within the community incredibly important. Please be as generous as you can.
