This October, we’ll be taking part in the Sue Ryder Starlight Hike – a 10k night walk – to raise money in memory of our beautiful best friend, Nicky, who we lost in 2020.

Before she passed away, Nicky spent time at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, and we will always be grateful for the care and respite she was given. When she was there, she described it as being “surrounded by beautiful gardens, with lots of history” and it was such a relief for her after spending so much time staring at blue curtain after blue curtain in hospital!

Walking under the stars, we’ll be remembering our Nicky – her laughter, her friendship, and the light she brought into our lives. Taking part in this event feels like a special way to honour her, while also helping Sue Ryder to continue the incredible work they do for other families when they need it most.

Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards helping Sue Ryder provide expert palliative care, bereavement support, and comfort to people facing the most difficult times of their lives.
