Story
Recently we very sadly lost our Dais, my gorgeous cousin, to Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) which is an extremely rare, life-threatening, and severe inflammatory disorder. Even throughout my career in healthcare I’d never heard of this awful disease, like many others.
I have never ran any distance before in my life and this is going to be a huge challenge for me. However if it raises awareness and some helps towards fundraising for further research into this aggressive disease then I’m willing to #doitfordais
On 22/2 at 10am Our very own Angel , "Dazzler" , was taken from us when she developed HLH following an infection.
We had never even heard of this rare, horribly aggressive disease which unfortunately had fatal consequences.
Following the passing of our beloved Daisy May Catterall we will be raising as much money as possible for the University College London Hospitals Charity UK. 100% of the money raised will go directly into funding the research into HLH and will hopefully help any future patients in her position.
Being just 25 years of age and a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister and partner we are all heartbroken. We hope that by taking a positive approach and throwing ourselves into fundraising, this will give us some sort of comfort moving forward.
Any donations are greatly appreciated and no matter how big or small , they will make a monumental impact.
Do It For Daisy ! Xx
