Story

I am fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK by running the London Marathon. My uncle is undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer at the moment, so raising some money for this charity feels like the least I can do to support him. Uncle Alan is a brilliant, smart, kind man who deserves the world. He has faced his diagnosis with great courage, but cancer of any form is cruel. I hope Pancreatic Cancer UK can help to make the diagnosis less scary in the future for the patients and their families.
I also run in memory of Eve, my best friend Zoe’s mum, who passed away after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
All donations go directly to the charity.
Any support would be greatly appreciated xx
Here is a note from the charity:
We are Pancreatic Cancer UK.
We go above and beyond for everyone affected by this disease. Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.
We bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. We make more noise because people have gone unheard. We are relentless because the disease is ruthless. We care more because people feel forgotten.
