This year, I am going to be taking on Big Fun Walk! I will be walking 10 miles to help spread awareness and raise funds for North London Hospice. Every pound raised helps the hospice's care teams to provide the best quality palliative and end of life care and support for patients and families living with a life limiting illness.

This annual event is so important because all the services the hospice offers are provided completely free. With only 30% of funding coming from the NHS, they rely on donations from the community to raise over £16 million each year.

We are taking part in memory of my dad, Michael James “Mike/Mick” Hember. The care he and our family received from the hospice was outstanding, and their support continues to provide comfort and care to us to this day.

This will mark just over a year since his passing, we miss him every day, and would be grateful for any and all donations to help commemorate him and provide vital funding for the hospice to continue helping families like ours.
