Story
LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.
As some of you will be aware my mum - Mandy Waldron - devastatingly lost her 3 year battle with ovarian cancer on June 28th this year.
In such a tragic situation, LOROS was absolutely invaluable to both my mum and our family. It was the only place mum wanted to be when we knew what was going to happen and I can’t explain how much we all appreciated the care, attention and respect mum (and us) felt whilst we were there for mums final days.
They are hugely struggling right now and they need as many donation as possible so I am pushing myself out of my comfort zone by doing the LOROS Leicester 10K - I haven’t run for over 15 years and I have just begun my training!
So as many donations for this fantastic place would be hugely appreciated.
This one is for you mum, love and miss you everyday xxx
