Throughout 2025, the Collaboration Network is proud to be fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society through a series of initiatives. We will be hosting charity walks, events during Vulnerability Week, in-person gatherings, and our annual Awards Ceremony to raise much-needed funds.

In the UK, nearly one million people are living with dementia, struggling to navigate an uncertain future with limited formal support. Due to the inequalities in social care, many families are left to manage safety and well-being on their own. Currently, 700,000 people have taken on the role of unpaid carers for someone with dementia, often sacrificing their own mental and physical health in the process.

Alzheimer’s Society is a vital lifeline for those affected by dementia, providing personalized services that offer support from the moment of diagnosis. This help is essential during one of the most overwhelming times in a person’s life, and the Society remains committed to being there every step of the way.

This support is crucial for people living with dementia today, but with the number of cases expected to rise dramatically in the coming years, we must work to change the future as well. Alzheimer’s Society’s education and outreach efforts are helping to build a more compassionate world for people with dementia. At the same time, their campaign for better-quality, integrated care is fighting the injustices that people with dementia face as they approach their final years.

People affected by dementia deserve not just care and support, but hope. While living with dementia is undoubtedly challenging, Alzheimer’s Society ensures that no one has to face it alone.
