Story

Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am donating money towards The Animal House Rescue by running the Sutton Fun Run on Sunday 1st June 2025. I adopted a cat from them 3 years ago and it was the best thing I did! They have helped so many abandoned, mistreated and unwanted animals. I wanted to help them. Animals are more than just a pet they are part of the family!

Also, when I run the Sutton Fun Run it will be exactly 10 years since Tammie had passed. She was a rescue cat that my parents adopted. She was left in a bin bag by a canal with her brothers and sisters. Instantly, she became a huge part of my family and was loved very much. She is missed everyday by her family!

Here is some information about the charity I will be raising money for: They are a small Birmingham-based rescue that takes in unwanted, abused, and abandoned animals. All the animals that come into our care are treated for fleas, ticks, mites, and worms. They also have a full veterinary 'm.o.t' and are neutered, if over 6 months old, and inoculated before going to their new homes.

They do not use kennels, instead they have foster homes, which enable them to see the animals behaviour in a home environment. Then, any problems can be dealt with and they can be re-homed to the most appropriate place. All prospective adopters will be home-checked.

Rescue: it's not just a verb, it's a promise.

"Saving one animal will not change the world, but surely for that one animal, the world will change forever."

You can't buy love, but you can rescue it.
