Jess & Nat Take on Kilimanjaro! 🏔️✨

Jess Shiels is raising money for The Pankhurst Trust (Incorporating Manchester Women's Aid)

Jess & Nat Take on Kilimanjaro! ¡ 22 September 2026

Manchester Women’s Aid, part of The Pankhurst Trust, exists to provide a holistic, safety-first approach, where the prospect of a life free from abuse is possible. Our work has impacted the lives of over 30,000 individuals, helping them live a life free from abuse.

Story

On 22nd September Jess and Nat are starting their 6 day trek to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, and the world's tallest free-standing mountain at 5,895 meters!

For Jess, this has been a lifelong bucket-list dream. For Nat… well, she’s either an incredibly supportive friend or didn’t quite know what she was getting involved in!

When Jess mentioned she’d always wanted to climb Kilimanjaro, Nat knew absolutely nothing about it and simply replied, “Yeah, go on then, I’ll come with you.”

They’re now both fully committed, deep into training, and questioning their choices on every uphill walk.

But this isn’t just about the climb.

They’re raising money for Manchester Women’s Aid, an incredible charity that supports women and children affected by domestic abuse. They provide safe accommodation, practical help, and emotional support to help families rebuild their lives and move forward safely. The work they do is life-changing — and often lifesaving.

So while Jess and Nat tackle the altitude and long days of trekking, they’d love your support to help make a real difference.

Please donate if you can — every little helps (and adds just the right amount of pressure to make sure they actually make it to the top 😉).

Thank you so much for supporting this adventure 💛
