Hey everyone. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Bikes saved me when I was at a very low point in life. I was let go from my job that was my career and in turn my partner at the time and I split up and I was asked to leave the house we were in. I was going back to school and was a student worker not making enough money for a place to stay and was sleeping on the floor of my mother’s very tiny office or in my car. I got invited to a local bike group and managed to get $70 together for a cheap bike (a beach cruiser) off of Craigslist. This experience changed my life. And I finally had something to look forward to every week and started making a new group of friends. I have come a long way from then but my love of bikes has only grown. I bike to work everyday and now have a fancy bike that has more than one gear (haha). So now you know or are already aware bikes are very important in my life and I would love for my birthday to spread the joy of bikes to some kids.
