South Downs Challenge for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

Jessica Barrah is raising money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

South Downs Way · 3 May 2025 ·

Team Marsden are raising funds by taking on the fantastic South Downs Way Trek 2025 to make a difference to cancer patients everywhere.

Story

On 3rd May 2023 my lovely husband James went into the Royal Marsden Hospital for a stem cell transplant, due to his diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma. When I found out that two years later to the day there was a walk on the South Downs, starting in Brighton it seemed like a great opportunity to raise money for the hospital who took such great care of him.

We will be trekking 26 miles in one day, following the South Downs Way on May 3rd, 2025, to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. This incredible organization is dedicated to raising funds that empower the world-leading cancer centre at The Royal Marsden. Fundraising helps ensure that the dedicated nurses, doctors, and research teams have the resources they need to provide exceptional care and develop life-saving treatments that benefit patients not just in the UK, but around the globe.

By funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, they are able to create the best possible environments for patients affected by cancer.

Any donation, however small (or large!) would be greatly appreciated.
