This September, I’ll be attempting to summit the highest mountain in Africa - Mount Kilimanjaro! At 5895m, this will be the highest I’ve ever gone!

This has been a dream of mine for a while, and I’ve been training hard - hiking almost every weekend this year, as well as training in the gym. I’m as ready as I’ll ever be, but it is still a daunting prospect!

I wanted to take this opportunity to try to raise some funds for St Rocco’s - a cause so close to my (and my family’s) heart. St Rocco’s took amazing care of my beloved Godfather and Uncle and his family in the most difficult of circumstances, and it’s a goal of mine to try to repay some of the kindness they gave to us. We never know when we might need this kind of care, and they truly deserve any additional funds we can raise!

I will be starting the hike on 15th September, taking the Lemosho route to give myself the best chance of reaching the summit on 21st! Wish me luck! 🤞🏼
