Story
I'm taking on the challenge of running the Cambridge Half Marathon because I want to help East Anglia's Children's Hospices continue their work supporting families going through the worst situation.
Earlier this year, my beautiful nephew Archie Trimnell passed away at Milton Children's Hospice at the age of 12. Archie was born with Cerebral Palsy and over the years, both he and our family have received incredible support from EACH (East Anglia's Children's Hospices).
In March, Archie fell ill and spent several weeks at Addenbrookes Hospital. Unfortunately, it was soon determined that there was nothing more they could do to make him better. He was transferred to Milton Hospice, where he passed away on Friday, April 4th, surrounded by his family.
Words can't fully express the gratitude we feel for the care and support the Hospice provided during those final days. The staff went above and beyond in every way, making one of the hardest days of our lives just a little bit easier. Their kindness and compassion meant the world to us.
In honor of Archie and the incredible team at Milton Hospice, I am running my first half marathon (the furthest I've ever run!!) to raise money and give back to them. Please help me raise as much as possible for the amazing work EACH do!

EACH care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions, and our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, well-being activities, therapies, care at end of life, bereavement support, counselling and volunteer services in the home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.
Only around 15% of their income comes from Government funding and so they rely heavily on fundraising such as this. A donation of £13 could pay one of their amazing Care Assistants for 1 hour, providing essential care to families.
