Jessica's fundraiser for EOS Network Eosinophilic Diseases Charity

Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2025 · 1 June 2025 ·
This year we are participating in Aberdeen’s Kilt Walk and raising money for the EOS Network.
We are going to be undertaking The Mighty Stride! An 18 mile walk starting in Banchory and finishing in central Aberdeen.
We have chosen to raise money for the EOS Network. This charity is one close to our family and heart, and one we have been so fortunate to of received direct support from, for our Daughter Myla.
Since Myla was 10 months old, she’s battled insufferable vomiting, extreme throat and tummy pain, swallowing difficulties at times and disrupted sleep to touch the surface. Myla’s no stranger to a hospital visit, and after numerous visits to different GP’s, clinics, specialists, we finally got a diagnosis of Eosinophilic Oesophagitis - EoE for short.
More recently, we’ve had to navigate a really difficult, upsetting and scary year as Myla’s health took a turn from a flare up she couldn’t get out of. We know we have a long road ahead, but Myla continues to show us how resilient, brave and courageous she is to continue the fight to remission! We wouldn’t have the knowledge or the confidence to advocate for Myla without the help from the EOS Network, and more specifically Amanda herself.
EoE is just one of the chronic conditions Myla has to struggle daily with. But, it wasn’t an easy journey for her to get the diagnosis, and a lot of that is solely down to a lack of awareness and knowledge for the disease.
Not only would be so grateful for ANY donation, not matter how big or small, but it would mean the absolute world to us, (and everyone else battling this disease!) to help us raise awareness for it. I will link below some super helpful and important resources about Eosinophilic Oesophagitis, which if anyone can share along with this link, would be incredible!
I’m also going to link below further resources to raise awareness for Gastroparesis, IgE and Non IgE Allergies, Asthma and also the importance of responding to an Asthma attack. These are all unfortunately other debilitating conditions Myla battles with, and we continue our journeys with all these diseases and conditions simultaneously.
Thank you for anyone who has and will be donating, it means so much to us to see people supporting not only Myla, but our family.
Wish us luck!
Jess & Mike x
