Story
Thanks for clicking through to this page and checking out my fundraising story.
In April, I will be cycling over 400km through the hills and mountains of Vietnam to raise vital funds for The Licensed Trade Charity and Only a Pavement Away.
Yes, you read that right – I'm going from Pilates princess to couragous cyclist, with only 130 days to go!
I'll be riding alongside 29 other brave (or possibly mad) souls as part of #HospitalityRides, raising money for two incredible charities: Only A Pavement Away and The Licensed Trade Charity. These organisations do extraordinary work supporting vulnerable people and those at risk of homelessness to rebuild their futures – causes that are incredibly close to my heart and to the hospitality industry I'm so passionate about.
Now, I should be honest with you – this is my first charity event on this scale, and I am completely, utterly out of my comfort zone. The route includes cycling, in 30-degree heat and humidity.
Am I nervous? Absolutely. Am I questioning my life choices at 6am on a freezing morning ride? You bet. But am I excited? More than I can say.
The hospitality industry has given me so much, and these two charities do vital work supporting the people within it who need help most. They step in when people are at their most vulnerable and help them rebuild their lives. In an industry I love so dearly, being able to give something back is so important.
So I'm asking for your support. Any donation, no matter the size, will keep me going through those brutal training rides and push me up those mountains in April. Together, we can make a real difference to people who desperately need it.
Thank you for reading this, for believing in me (even when I'm not sure I do), and for anything you can give.
Let's do this!
