On Sunday 11th October, my sister and I will be running the PINK RUN at Titanic Slipways for Breast Cancer Awareness NI.

This summer our beautiful mummy was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, the support we have received as a family has been crucial in keeping us positive through such a difficult time. Thanks to charities like Cancer Focus NI, our mum is receiving the very best treatment and care, allowing her to face the coming months with strength.

Every week in Northern Ireland, another 30 women receive a breast cancer diagnosis. This is one of the most devastating moments anyone can experience, either for themselves or for someone they love. However, it does not have to be a lonely journey. By fundraising for our charity this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, you will help us be there for the 1 in 8 local women who will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. That could be your mother, wife, daughter, sister, or colleague.
