Story

There's no Glastonbury festival this year, so a few months ago I decided to find something else to do that weekend.
I'm taking part in probably the biggest endurance challenge of my life as I reach 59.
Chase the sun south is a 204 mile endurance event from the Isle of Sheppey across the country to Weston super mare, with nearly 9000ft of climbing. I'll be completing this in one go 😊 with a few short stops for food along the way.
I wanted to try and raise money for an amazing charity in Somerset that I volunteer with. Promiseworks provides 1-1 mentors for young people across the country experiencing disadvantages or vulnerability. It's an amazing charity and really makes a difference through long term mentoring to young people's lives. All the mentors volunteer for a minimum of 2 years with a young person, and raising funds supports volunteers to give some opportunities to young people as well as continuing with their brilliant training.
Any small amount will go straight to the charity and make a big difference to the future of young people in Somerset.
