Story
When I was growing up, I always knew about my older brother, who sadly passed away just two hours after he was born — before I arrived in the world.
Our family was supported by SANDS, a wonderful charity for bereaved families, and I’ve seen firsthand how vital that support can be.
This year, I’m running the London Marathon for Action Medical Research, who fund life-saving research to help sick and vulnerable babies and children. Their work includes tackling complications during pregnancy, stillbirth, and newborn illness — the kind of research that could help prevent tragedies like my family’s.
Every mile I run is for my brother, for the families going through heartbreak, and for the future children whose lives this research could save 💙Thank you for visiting my sponsorship page.
Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. For 65 years we’ve helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. Our research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But we urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures for sick babies and children and we can’t do it without you.
Join our fight for little lives.
