I'm running the London Marathon 2025 for Refuge!

Jessica Strange is raising money for Refuge

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Team Refuge are running the iconic London Marathon to raise funds and awareness for survivors of domestic abuse.

Story

Did you know that one in four women will experience domestic abuse in her lifetime, and on average, two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner? Shocking, isn't it?

A while back, I turned to Refuge for guidance on how to support a close friend who was trapped in a toxic and harmful relationship. This incredible charity not only helped me understand the many faces of domestic violence but also showed me how to be there for her alongside her family.

I’m running the London Marathon 2025 to express my gratitude for the support Refuge provided during that difficult time and to raise awareness for the life-saving work they do. Every penny raised will contribute to the vital resources that help protect and save the lives of women and children across the UK.
