Story
Between Wednesday 8th March to Tuesday 14th March 2023, I am participating in the Cycle to MIPIM .
Over the 7 days, we will be cycling 1438km from London to the MIPIM property fair in Cannes, to raise money for projects transforming young lives.
The day to day schedule is:
London - Folkestone 116km | 1250m
Calais - Soissons 264km | 2470m
Soissons - Auxerre 237km | 2500m
Auxerre - Chalon 196km | 2450m
Chalon - Valence 255km | 2330m
Valence - Greoux-les-Bains 210km | 3400m
Greoux-les-Bains - Cannes 160km | 3098m
As well as training, as a Ride Captain I'm responsible for planning and leading training rides to help everyone prepare for the event. I'm currently squeezing this in around work and family 4-5 days/evenings a week, including some pretty miserable commutes up and down the Old Kent Road. The weather is certainly adding to the challenge!
The main aim of the ride is for riders from all aspects of the real estate industry to raise money for the fantastic Children's charity - Coram.
Coram champions the rights and welfare of children and believes every child should have the best chance of a fulfilling life. Coram helps hundreds of thousands of vulnerable children and young people every single year by developing skills, building emotional strength, upholding children's rights and finding adoptive parents for those in the greatest need. For more details please look through their excellent website -
The last two years have been difficult for everyone, and charities have really suffered with the lack of fundraising events and donations due to lockdowns, unemployment and the cost of living crisis. I really hope you can support Coram; any amount you are willing to donate would make a huge difference, not to mention spur me on through a challenging winter of training!
