Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

In October 2025, my colleague and good friend (Jon Machell) was diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease (MND), a devastating, progressive condition with no cure.

Jon had to retire from being an Orthodontist which he absolutely loved. He also had to stop doing the things he enjoyed like swimming, surfing and going on holidays.

Since he’s been diagnosed he has been spending his time raising money for The MND Association.

The MND Association focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
