Cheers for checking out our page! 🇦🇺🐒
In April 2026, Pete and I are ditching the safe and sane honeymoon idea for something a bit more life-threatening — riding 90cc monkey bikes across bloody Peru for the Monkey Run.
Yep… instead of sipping cocktails on a secluded island, we’ll be choking on dust, dodging cliffs, and doing our best not to end up as a local news headline.
We’ll be thundering over the Andes, through freezing mountain passes, and deep into the Amazon jungle — all on bikes that sound like hair dryers and break down faster than our sanity. It’s dusty, dangerous, and downright dumb… but it’s us to a tee.
We’re calling it *“adventuring stupidity perfected.”* 🏍️💨
This is not a holiday — it’s a completely unsupported adventure, and by its very nature, it’s extremely risky.
But it’s not just about the chaos — we’re also raising funds for some incredible causes.
Our **team goal is $1000 AUD**, with an **individual goal of $500 AUD each**:
* The **first $500 AUD** we raise will go directly to **Cool Earth**, supporting rainforest communities to protect forests and fight deforestation.
* **Anything raised above $500** will go to **TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter)**, helping provide free mental health counselling for Australia’s blue-collar community — including tradies, truckies, and rural workers.
So while we’re out there risking it all, it’s for something much bigger than us.
We’ll face animals that can eat us, insects that can infect us, and roads that might actually kill us — all while eating mystery meat (yes, guinea pig is on the menu) and sleeping wherever we don’t get bitten first. But honestly… what better way to start married life than by surviving this together? ❤️
Our route runs from Ayacucho (April 12th, 2026) to Pilcopata (April 19th, 2026) — if we make it through the altitude, the wildlife, and each other.

If we stop moving… send help. Or snacks. Or both.
Donating through JustGiving is safe, quick, and goes straight to the charities — no monkey business.
Thanks, legends — your support means the world (and might just keep two very questionable newlyweds alive in the Peruvian wilderness). 🐒💚
