Thank you for visiting my just giving page. On the 10th May I am running the Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon in memory of my amazing dad who we lost to MND in February. I will be raising money for the Leeds Hospital Charity and the MND Association.

MND is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease. It attacks the nerves that control movement, meaning muscles no longer work eventually leaving people unable to move, talk and breathe.

MND kills a third of people within a year and more than half within 2 years of diagnosis. There is no cure for MND currently.

Both the LHC & MNDA have contributed towards building the new Rob Burrows Centre which opened in November 2025. This building is the first purpose-built centre dedicated entirely to MND care, research, education and holistic support. It has been designed with patients and families at its heart, helping patients to live the best quality of life possible, supported by a dedicated team.

I had the opportunity to visit the centre with my mum and dad shortly after it opened, and we were truly amazed by the level of thought, care, and detail that has gone into creating such a special place.

Any donations will help support ongoing research, as well as provide vital support to families living with MND.
