Story
Most weekdays I gaze up at the Wittenham Clumps, a well known and loved pair of copses that can be seen for miles around, as I drive the school run. The clumps are at the heart of The Earth Trust, a wonderful environmental charity that manages the land for nature, along with woodland, meadows, lakes and riverbanks. It brings thousands of children into the countryside each year, promotes innovation in ecological farming techniques and hosts celebrations, cultural events, children’s activities and an archaeology festival. It's a brilliant independent charity. This is my attempt to get out of the car and support it on my feet.
