Dear Friends

I am doing the Dunwich Dynamo (again!!!) to raise money for the brilliant, amazing, humane, life-enhancing St Augustine's Centre in Halifax - Calderale's only specialist centre for people seeking asylum and refugees.

That means I will be cycling 200 kilometres - right through the night - from London to Suffolk on July 12th - starting in London Fields and ending on the beach at Dunwich.

As many of you know, I flipping love doing the Dunwich Dynamo. It's arguably the best day (night) of my year. So I wish I didn't have to try to raise funds by doing it...

...but the hard fact is that people, from all over the world, are forced to leave their homes due to war, persecution and violence. And when that happens - and they find their way to Calderdale - they need the solidarity, practical support and friendship offered by the extraordinary team at St Augustine's.

And what St Augustine's needs is cash - because the charity fundraising sector is harder than ever and getting tougher every day.

Last year I raised nearly £1,000. This year I'm aiming to double that. So, please dig deep and sponsor me to do what I love for a place I love.
