Hi everyone! My name is Jianna and I am super excited to share that I’m participating in the 10th anniversary of Cakes for Apes, a fundraiser organized by International Animal Rescue (IAR) to help save and protect orangutans.

I first learned about the IAR through the story of Budi, one of their most well known rescues. Budi is a Bornean orangutan, who was saved from heartbreaking conditions as a baby. For the first year of his life, Budi was kept in a small chicken cage and fed only condensed milk, leaving him severely malnourished and unable to move properly. Thanks to IAR’s incredible team, Budi was rescued, rehabilitated, and has grown into a healthy, thriving orangutan who now lives with other rescued orangutans in the Bukit Baka Bukit Raya National Park. His journey is a testament to the life-changing work that IAR does.

To support this amazing cause, I’m hosting bake sales throughout April, offering a variety of delicious homemade desserts!
