Ayrshire Tree Surgeons have chosen to do the kiltwalk for the charity STAR this year.

This is a local charity, based in Kilmarnock, but cover North Ayrshire, Arran, and Cumbrae.

The charity comes under the umbrella of rape crisis Scotland, but its helps all people 13+, with domestic, sexual abuse, and trauma related sexual assaults.

Every pound raised goes direct into the charity, to help give therapy, counselling etc, anything that’s needed for people to survive. To go into schools, and speak to our future adults.

One of our kiltwalk team, has recently been helped by this charity, after a traumatic assault by a man in the medical profession . She was given support through the court process, and afterwards helped to recovery with amazing therapy, to help her regain her confidence, and survive her trauma. And this help is needed all the time for others as well, so we would love to do something, as our way of thanks, of helping out our friend, when she needed it most.

Ayrshire Tree Surgeons have donated their time and help to assist with the Survivors garden team.

They have removed trees, etc, but we would love to raise funds for this much needed space.

The survivors garden will be a place of sanctuary, where survivors, and the team, will have a place to meet, garden, or just have a space to be at peace.

Everyone knows how much outdoor space, helps with our mental health, so we are hoping, we can assist, by doing the kiltwalk, and are asking everyone, if they can donate what they can to this brilliant cause.
