Story
On Saturday 22nd November (postponed from 4th October) Jill will be leaping with abandon off the top of the towers at Kings Mill Hospital to raise money for the hospital charity fund. Attached to a rope, to reassure those who may have been concerned, and in defiance of those whose weren’t. Motivated by the wish to help provide additional facilities for our patients and staff, and also because she was outraged at the suggestion that it might be an unsuitable activity for the over 50s, this is her chance to either impress or embarrass her kids.
The abseil event will be raising funds for Sherwood Forest Hospitals General Fund - which can be used for projects right across Sherwood Forest Hospitals. You can find out more about the work of the charity on the charity webpage.
The charity has teamed up with Big Bang Experiences - a UK leader in height-based activities for over 30 years – to give you the chance to take a leap of faith and abseil down six storeys of King’s Mill Hospital.
