I have been writing poetry for 30-odd years, but only recently decided to do something with them. They are being published on my website www.poems-from-a-shoebox.com and shortly in book format.

For each poem, I have nominated a charity with the hope that readers of my poems will donate to the chosen charity.

I have decided to support Alzheimer's Society with the poem "Snow Hope". Alzheimer's is one of the scourges of our times and like most of us, we know people who have had to fight it and unfortunately some who have lost that battle.

The Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future
