JIM'S STORY

They say wisdom comes with age but, in Jim's case, old age has turned up all by itself - he's just booked a WING WALKING experience to mark his 80th birthday!!!

We always thought it would be an opportunity to raise funds, but for what or whom?

UNIQUE is a charity that only came to our notice quite recently, and we preferred to try to help this small charity rather than one of the big nationals/internationals who are so well known.

UNIQUE works with everyone whose life has been touched by rare chromosome or gene disorders. Whether someone is living with a disorder, a parent, carer, educator, social worker, doctor or a scientist they offer support. Everyone who has a chromosome or gene disorder is different. They are UNIQUE. It is a charity close to our hearts as we know someone living with one of these disorders.

Any amount you care to give will be greatly appreciated.

PS. Update: Everyone has been so generous, we have past our £250 initial target so are upping it to an optimistic £500! Thank you all very much.

PPS. Update 2! We have passed our £500 target!!! Amazing , thank you all so much. We are going to increase the target to £750 with fingers crossed.

PPPS. UPDATE 3! We have now passed our increased target of £750!!! Everyone has been so generous to a wonderful charity. Well done to you all. So we are now trying for £1000!!!!

PPPPS. Update 4! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You all with your generosity have nearly reached four figures for 'Unique's' funds. We are now entering the final week before Jim takes to the air. Training continues apace greatly assisted by the Mk II simulator, fitted with additional safety feature - AIR BAGS!! Also the prototype all weather variant. It must be said that some reservations have been expressed as to it's efficaciousness in a 130 knot slipstream!!! Please keep spreading the word. See photos.
