This June, I’ll be riding from London to Land’s End (via Bristol) to raise money for the Sunrise Centre. The ride will cover 564km and 6,235m of elevation over five days. Dad will be acting as support crew and, if anyone would like to join for a day, I’ll happily take some drafting assistance along the way.

Why the Sunrise Centre?

The Sunrise Centre cancer treatment unit provides vital chemotherapy and support services to patients across the region, allowing them to receive expert care closer to home, surrounded by familiar places and loved ones.

Every pound raised helps the Sunrise Centre continue this essential work. Fundraising contributions support advanced equipment, improved facilities, and enhanced patient services, helping to ease the journey for those facing cancer and ensuring the highest standard of care remains available to everyone who needs it.

Our Story:

Since Dad’s diagnosis in October 2024, the Sunrise Centre has provided extraordinary care and support to both him and our family. From delivering world-leading treatment to the thoughtful “things you might need” box, complete with woolly hats and jelly babies, their kindness has made an enormous difference throughout his treatment.

Having the Sunrise Centre based in Cornwall has also meant Dad could receive treatment while remaining in the comfort of home, surrounded by family and familiarity. Knowing there is always expert care and support available at the end of the phone, 24/7, has been invaluable to us all.

It’s fundraising from events like this that allows the Sunrise Centre to continue providing this level of care and support to families like ours.
