Story
Support NACFB CEO Jim Higginbotham as he takes on an extraordinary challenge – cycling from London to Paris this October with the AFPA Trust – all to raise vital funds for the Association's charity partner, The Unbeatable Eva Foundation.
The Unbeatable Eva Foundation exists to support children and families affected by Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) – a rare, aggressive, and tragically terminal form of childhood brain cancer. The charity was founded in memory of a brave little girl named Eva, whose story continues to inspire action and hope.
Every nine days, a child in the UK is diagnosed with DIPG. Every diagnosis is terminal. With an average life expectancy of less than 10 months – and treatment options that have barely changed in decades – the urgency for research, advocacy, and support has never been greater.
The Unbeatable Eva Foundation provides essential help to families navigating this devastating diagnosis, while also funding critical research and clinical trials aimed at finding better treatments and, one day, a cure.
On 1st October 2025, Jim will saddle up for the AFPA Trust BIG Cycle to raise funds and awareness for this vital cause.
