Hello everyone!

I am a retired nurse with over 38 years of experience in the NHS, and I am excited to share my upcoming journey with you. From March to April 2026, I will be traveling to Turkana in Kenya to volunteer with the charity New Ways. My mission is to support their health programmes by providing education and training to local staff and community members, working directly in clinics and alongside the people living there.

To make this journey possible, I have set up a fundraiser aiming for £5,000. This will help cover essential costs such as vaccinations, flights, food, and accommodation during my stay. Additionally, your generous contributions will go towards vital medical supplies and kits that include dressings and basic medicines. We also want to bring a bit of joy by providing a few luxury items like footballs and frisbees.
