After a 14 year battle with Alzheimer's we lost our dad Alan last year. He was an inspiration to many as a teacher particularly in sport. As a child he set me on a path which would ultimately lead me to a life long love of the outdoors, long distance walking and eventually a career in teaching others outdoor skills.

I wanted to do something in recognition of what he meant to me and so many others, and so I have decided to walk 10 miles for each year he suffered from the horror that is Alzheimer's.

Not only am I walking for my family and my Dad but for my partner and her family too. She also lost her Dad in 2024 to Alzheimer's so knows and understands the consequences of this horrible disease on the person suffering from it and how it effects those close to them. We are hoping to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's Society with the walk and other fundraising events so please help us and give what you can.

Starting in Paignton on 22nd July 2025 I will over 7 days walk 140 miles to Swanage.

I will have local support from family but I am happy for anyone who wishes to join me for a day or two along the way at a cost of a donation to the cause.

Day 3 Sidmouth - Charmouth

Day 4 Charmouth to Chickerell

Day 5 Chickerell to Weymouth via Portland Bill

Day 6 Weymouth to Kimmeridge

Day 7 Kimmeridge to Swanage
