Walking for Angel Wishes - Every step helping to bring Smiles

Jim O'Kane is raising money for Angel Wishes

60 Mile Walk · 20 September 2025

Angel Wishes was set up in memory of Helen and Brian Kerr and is a support group for children in Northern Ireland fighting cancer related conditions. We are run purely by volunteers and 100% of all money raised goes directly to providing treats and trips for the children. Memories last forever.

Story

Angel Wishes was created in the memory of Helen (3) and Brian (10) who were both lost to cancer related illnesses and the Charity now helps and supports many families of children who have been given a cancer related diagnosis from right across Northern Ireland. During these most desperate and dark times for these children and their parents, this support is vital as they battle cancer in all its forms.

To help Angel Wishes and the tremendous work they do, Jim with the support of Connor 189 Masonic Lodge and the wider Masonic community, plans to do a Charity walk from Moira town centre to Ballintoy on the 20th September 2025 to raise as many funds for this highly deserving Charity as possible.

The walk will be approx 60 miles, beginning on Saturday 20th morning and finishing on Sunday 21st morning. We would ask you to please give whatever you can to this cause as we hope that every step we take will help to bring Smiles to countless frightened children and much needed support to their terrified parents.
