Swim For Dementia

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

This January I’ll be swimming 10 miles in 30 days for Alzheimer’s Society’s “Swim for Dementia”. That’s 488 lengths (16.1km) of the local 33m pool! My dad passed away in November from this dreadful disease, as did his mum, and I have other family members currently living with Alzheimer’s. Any donations, small or large, that you are able to make are very welcome!

The money raised will make a big difference to the lives of many affected by dementia. Alzheimer’s Society funds essential support services for people living with dementia and their carers, as well as funding research to find a cure.
