James and Johnathan Russell, cousins. We are taking part in the Fellsman ultra marathon race in an attempt to raise money for charity. An event organised by the Keighley Scout Services that we were introduced to as kids and which our Grandad took part in for 30 years.

Having experienced the distress and heartache of the affect Cancer has on loved ones and how helpful Cancer charities are with research and the support they offer families it would be nice to give something back.

I lost my father Steve (Johnny's uncle) after a long battle with Acute Myloid Leukaemia 7 years ago and without the support of charities including Cancer Research UK my parents would have had an much harder time.

The Fellsman is one of the most iconic events on the circuit, oozing challenge, charm and character. It can take over a day to complete, trekking overnight.

Set over stunning, but difficult, remote, rugged Yorkshire Dales, fells and moorland, with over 11,000 feet of elevation and covering 61 miles from Ingleton to Threshfield - https://fellsman.org.uk/
