When my daughters were in elementary school they attended an Austin Jazz Workshop performance and were introduced to a very different type of music than they had heard before.

It was JAZZ!

The fun sounds, the exciting tempo and beats, and the most unusual melodies helped them learn that there were many more types of entertainment in existence than they had ever before been exposed to. I've been a fan and supporter of the AJW ever since.

This group of tireless Jazz musicians introduce Jazz to students in over 100 schools each year and has contributed to the musical education and appreciation of well over 800 Thousand students.

Now, I am proud to have been selected just this month to serve on the AJW Board of Directors. I will be working to help this great educational organization to keep supporting students and teachers and expand their reach.
