100km in a month (now 150km!)

Southmead Hospital Charity is the official charity of North Bristol NHS Trust. Together with our donors and fundraisers we deliver world-class projects and comforting items over and above what the NHS funds, to make the biggest difference to patients and their families.

Story

As most of you know just over two months ago, I developed Cauda Equina Syndrome, a condition that could have easily resulted in me not walking again - I 100% dodged a huge bullet!

I am back up on my feet and feeling good, although walking like I have done something nasty in my pants! Now I am walking more, albeit slowly and with a slight limp, I am setting a goal for myself: to walk 100 kilometers in a month. I know it isn't that much, but it's a good target and will hopefully help with my rehab and my attempt to lose a bit of timber!

I thought I would try and raise a small amount for Southmead Hospital to say thank you for the care they gave me. If I raise anything it would help them cover the food bill from when I was on the ward!

UPDATE!

On Day 17 I reached my target of 100km. So I am going to try and add another 50km onto to total.
