Help Us Make a Lasting Impact in Kenya – Join Our Journey

In May 2026, my son William and I will be joining a group of dedicated volunteers on a life-changing trip to Nakuru, Kenya. Together, we’ll be working with Derby County Community Trust and African Adventures to support partner schools that provide free education to children from underprivileged backgrounds.

These schools operate in low-income communities and rely on the generosity of supporters and volunteers to continue their work. Since 2009, African Adventures has helped improve conditions for more than 22,000 children — building classrooms, improving sanitation, enhancing safety, and supporting educational development through sports and teaching.

As part of this initiative, every volunteer must fundraise to cover the cost of flights, accommodation, and crucial resources for the schools. Importantly, 20% of all funds raised also go back into the Derby community to support local programmes run by Derby County Community Trust.

Our goal is to raise enough to secure our places on the programme — and any additional funds will go directly toward resources and gifts for the schoolchildren, such as school uniforms and classroom supplies.

To help reach this goal, We'll be organising a number of local fundraising events — and we are actively seeking sponsorship support from businesses. In return, we'll proudly promote any supporting businesses through my LinkedIn profile, offering positive publicity and brand exposure to a professional audience.
