Story
On 29th May 2026, I will be taking on the Mount Everest Marathon – the world’s highest and most extreme marathon – to raise £50,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer, in memory of my stepson, Logan Falconer.
18 years ago, Logan sadly passed away from neuroblastoma. At that time, CLIC Sargent (now Young Lives vs Cancer) provided incredible support to my wife Kelly, and Logan’s brothers, Kieran, Kane, and Zane. This challenge is my way of keeping Logan’s memory alive and giving back to the charity that helped our family so much.
The Challenge
The Everest Marathon is no ordinary race.
• It starts at Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5,364m.
• The course includes the world’s highest uphill trail section, testing every ounce of strength and endurance.
• Just reaching the start line is a challenge in itself – flying into Lukla Airport, one of the most dangerous in the world, then trekking for days through the Himalayas to acclimatise to the extreme altitude.
This is a gruelling and dangerous event, but every step I take will be for Logan, for my family, and for the children and young people who need Young Lives vs Cancer today.
Why £50,000?
Every donation will help Young Lives vs Cancer provide:
• Practical, emotional, and financial support to families facing childhood cancer
• Vital services across the UK so no family faces cancer alone
£50,000 will make a huge impact – and with your help, we can reach it.
